Verified Reviewer |To watery beans not soft enough
This chili has become way too watery. Used to be thick, and you could taste the meat; now all you taste is the seasonings and water. As a Texan, let me tell you, this is not Texas chili.
- Convenient
- Too watery

Verified Reviewer |Horrible Taste
Wolf hotdog sauce is not fit to eat. It tasted like bad green beer.
I should've looked at the ingredients. All fake food. Upon opening the can, it looked very promising, except it was very, very dark. After the first taste, I knew I had made a mistake buying this brand.
Water, beef broth, textured vegetable protein (soy flour, caramel color), pinto bean powder, tomato paste, modified corn starch, chili pepper, contains less than 2% of: salt, caramel color, sugar, garlic powder, soy lecithin, spice, natural flavors.
Contains: soy.
User's recommendation: do not buy it’s a fake food and it taste sour are like bad beer

Verified ReviewerNot happy with product anymore
I've been buying the Wolf Brand Chili Beans for years, and it was great, but not anymore. It has been watered down and doesn't have the thickness to it.
It hardly has any beans in it, and it's not spicy like it's supposed to be.
It was purchased at Dollar General. I'm not paying for a watered-down product.
Wolf brand chili dog sauce
This was the nastiest chili sauce I ever ate took three bite and threw it away usually I buy the wolf brand chili no beans but decided to try the sauce.
User's recommendation: Do not buy

Verified ReviewerMade me sick
I was fixing hot dogs and used Wolf brand hot dog sauce, and it made me sick right after! Terrible product made my stomach hurt, cramp up.
I took Pepto; food poisoning, no doubt! Don't buy.
- Cheap
- Made me sick
User's recommendation: Do not buy this
Mis labeled
Bought 2 cans of original wolf brand chili upon using one can I noticed there were no beans in the can labeled "with beans" i ate the chili anyway. When opening the second can everything seemed fine until I started eating it, it was extremely spicy although it was labeled "original"...won't be buying ever again
User's recommendation: Just buy hormel

Verified ReviewerAlmost died
There was a giant metal chunk in my Wolf brand chili. I almost choked and died.
How is this still being sold?
Clearly, I am not the only one. Insane.
- Taste is fine
- Too much issues with quality control metal in my food bad
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: I don’t recommend Conagra or Wolf Chili
Watery, about 1/2 the beans and meat it seems to last time I ate it..all these companies giving less quality and amounts while jacking prices up..I just stop buying many companies products now..make .
Ok , I was using home style chil with beans. For my Coneys..I actually noticed that it's watery with not much meat or beans...So I drained half the can down the drain and still had a watery chilly on top of my Coneys, sucks huhhh.
User's recommendation: Buy a can and try it.. you'll know why then to not buy it.
Complaint
The chili had the consistency of soup. It was watery and lacked any ingredients that made you believe you purchased chili.
User's recommendation: Avoid. Purchase other brands such as Yellowstone
Most awful only a little meat hard mostly chili sauce thick and bitter
checked date and it was supposed to be okay until 08/2025 sauce was thick but bitter, very little meat and hard like it had been burnt, threw out can after checking the date to see if it had expired or something.
User's recommendation: wolf chili no beans very poor
Question
Ive love wolf's chili for ever!
I now live in a nursing home and i get $30 monthly for outside purchasing.
I buy 4 cans , two bags of the cheapest corn chips, cheap cheese sauce to eat because the food here is HORRIBLE.
Could you make the cans with an easy pull top? Getting the stuff to open a can is like asking a fish to walk on land. It would be very helpful.
Thanks

It not horrible but not very great
The chili tastes cheap and like there are bits of sand in it. Possible fillers?
I dont know but heard good things. But unfortunately like everything else its about profit margins.
Its a sad world when everything is based on money and not making good chili. I suggest making your own chili.
User's recommendation: Make your own chili

Verified ReviewerChili with beans but is w/o!
I've recently purchased 3 cans of Chili w/beans for my 78-year-old Aunt. All of these cans claimed to have beans in them.
I'm not sure, but having 2.5 beans per 7.25 oz is not even 3 whole beans!! This is not acceptable! My Aunt Lucy said she no longer wants to eat your brand if it is going to continue to have zero beans. This is her favorite food for lunch with Fritos!
She eats this daily and knows her chili!!! Especially if there are not many beans in it.
Thank you! Michelle and Aunt Lucy
- We love the flavor
- Chili with beans seriously has 1 maybe 2 beans in a single
Preferred solution: More beans in the chili and coupons for free chili
